Entry 9 – D. capensis

A vigorous plant, but it looks like it has been grown in very low light.

Entry 11 – D. mannii

Very pretty, and appears well-grown.

Entry 20 – D. graomogolensis

A healthy looking plant. The mix is covered in algae, which looks unattractive. This is not always easy to get rid of, but it’s worth trying for exhibitions.

Entry 26 – D. ordensis

Nice plant, but the D. burmannii in the pot should be removed!

Really well grown specimen of not the easiest complex of Drosera to grow. Love the colouration of the laminas at the end of the wooly petioles. Stronger sunlight would encourage even brighter leaf colouration, but all in all, a very well grown plant.

Entry 41 – D. Lake Badger Up

Nice plant, but the pot and mix are quite ugly. Presentation is important for these kinds of competitions.

Entry 44 – D. capillaris

Lovely plant, but once again, it is too low in the pot.

Entry 46 – D. intermedia

A nicely grown plant – it would be a little better if it was cenered in the pot and there were no other plants in the pot.

Entry 47 – D. intermedia

A nice set of plants, well grown and in flower.

Really nice plant - love the way the grower has grown this species as a dense colony completely filling the pot. Plants are clearly very well grown by the abundance of healthy leaves and numbers of inflorescences that have been produced. Exposure to stronger sunlight would encourage the leaves to become more intense red. Try growing this pot with zero shading and the result will be breathtaking! Very well done!

Entry 55 – D. nitidula hybrid

Nice little plant. These pygmy species look best when they are grown in a sandy mix that fills the pot

Entry 56 – D. nitidula x pulchella

The pot is ugly and it contains 2 species. The plants of interest are nicely grown, though.

Beautiful, well coloured specimens of an excellent pygmyy cross. Like how the grower has replicated natural conditions and used large grit / small pebbles - and N. nitidula and N. pulchella often grow in this type of substrate naturally. Love the established clumps forming as the colony has multiplied and grown together. very nice plants.

Entry 68 – D. Lake Badgerup

Once again, the plants look quite nice, but the presentation is not so good. A sandy mix that fills the pot is required to make these drosera look good.
