Some settling-in CPs (pics)
« Thread Started on 18 Dec, 2007, 11:13 »Here are some plants from my collection.
Many of my Nepenthes are still settling in from the move 3 months ago, but things are FINALLY begganing to speed up!
Ventricosa

Eymae

Talangensis

Truncata

And I don't feel like making a seperate thread for the next two plants. BABY CEPHALALOTUS! My most treasured plant.:-D

Drosera Capensis from a forum member

My grow area with a shelf from Ikea

I know...they are all very boring but that is soon to change once my plants fully adapt, I just have to be patient. Do you think that they are doing ok or am I just wasting my time? It seems to me that things are doing better than they were before, but yeah, please feel free to comment.

I think your plants are starting to adapt well to your growing environment. Looking at the new leaves (nepenthes) and pitcher bud on the leaves I think they are acclimatising well.

What kind of lighting are you using?

thanks for the info. For lighting I use 120 volt, 19 watt, 60 hz aquarium flourescants.

Lol, I asked the pet shop person about it and he said the person he was going to get the lights off said that they had the wrong kind of spectrum. But what I want to know is, how did you manage to get a cephalotus in America? How much was it? I have heard they can sell for about £250 over there. Link to Post - Back to Top LoggedDavid

I also use aquarium lights. I think nepenthesenthusiasts meant aquarium plant lights. I have 4 tubes, four feet each at 38watts each on my 4-feet setup. They are switched on 16 hours a day and my sundews and neps are doing fine. They do get the red colours on theri picthers and leaves/tentacles.

But, your right about the spectrum. You've got to check the spectrum. Some of them do not give out the right spectrum. Look for those with 6500-8000K
