Default Hello from western Washington!

Hello Everybody!
My Name is Nikki. I'm from Western Washington, Port Orchard to be exact, which is about an hour away from Seattle. I work at a great little studio/shop in Seattle where we make hats and hand bags, I also design and make novelty pin cushions.

I currently have about ten CPs, Nepenthes Khasiana, A mystery Nepenthes that is either a Ventricosa or Sanguinea (the nursery didn't bother to pay attention, and it's too young to tell, I'm leaning towards Ventricosa though), Sarracenia Purpurea, two mystery Sarracenia (I have a weakness for "saving" poorly cared for plants, that often aren't marked and are too mangled to tell), Drosera Capensis, utricularia bisquamata, and three VFTs. Of course I want more, but I'm quickly running out of room. I have them all in various sunny windows, three of them live in the shop where I work because the light there is fantastic. I did have some in a terraium, I had another utriclaria and a Pinguicula Moctezumae that didn't survive that venture, they all seem quite a lot happier in windows and outside weather permitting. I would -love- to start experimenting with movable mini bogs too, our climate isn't super awesome for a lot of what I have currently (as far I know, I haven't put many of them out yet, I'm afraid of killing them), though my sarracenia does great outside, the VFTs would probably work aswell. For right now I only put them outside in the summer.

I'm really pleased I found this, I've been very interested in CPs for about a year now, and been learning about them every chance I get. Unfortunately there aren't many resourses that I've found in my area. I'm pretty sure the nearest CP nursery is Sarracenia Northwest in Oregon, which I haven't had the pleasure of visiting yet. So I'm really pleased I found a place where I can come to talk about these plants =)

I'd also really love to know if there are any other Pacific Northwesters out there, and what your growing experiences are, and are there resources that I'm not finding in this area?

Thanks, I look forward to getting to know everyone =)
-Nikki
