Default Sphagnum moss in my front lawn?

I wasn't sure of what forum here to post this in.
I dump my runoff from watering of my neps off my porch.
I noticed today sphagnum growing on my lawn
It's the lime green in the pics.
Is this normal???
It's pouring rain out right now so the pics arn't great.

I have to say, What?

O.o........maybe your lawn soil gets waterlogged often........soon your area will be a bog.

Well thats definitly sphag to me.......And lucky you that now you can just take it whenever you want...Does spahgmum thrive in high nutrient land? So how in the world did it end up there?Soon there won't be your lush green grass anymore..

Well simply by mother nature.....either by pollens from outside or it just came from the spahg in his nep soil and went there and slowly grew unoticebly until now.
