Default seed grown surprise

This was one of the seedlings grown from seed in January,2006. It was a surprise -a raff. elongated var alata , one that i never come across in the wild.

Hi Robert,

Hmmm, mine's not that old but was a surprise too! Do you think this is the same?

Yes, seed grown neps always show surprises. I have a seed grown N. rafflesiana turned out pinkish with dark red speckle.

Shawn, the pitchers are similar but the man different was the frilled tendril ( detail photo attached below )





small pitcher at this stage and as the plant matured the frilled tendril will be very prominent.

Yep, you're right! That frilled tendril wasn't so obvious in the earlier pictures but I noticed the big wings! Congratulations!

Hey, can you tell me why my attachments don't appear as pictures on the post but rather little clickable icons?

shawn, i believe your pictures are now attachments? to have the pics shown, you would to upload the image somewhere and tag the image accordingly [img ] image location [/img].
