Default A few windowsill Neps

I thought I would break down and post a few pics.

My first N. eustachya pitcher, it started to open last night! Small but beautiful!

Little crinkle in its peristome

My first N. eymae pitcher!

N. ramispina

N. inermis x bongso

just opened

older pitcher

N. ventricosa x inermis just opened 2 days ago

N. 'Exotic Lady'

just opened 2 days ago

older pitcher

N. 'Marbled Dragon' (not very marbled.....took a lot of truncata traits it looks like to me...)

A few pics just for the heck of it.....here are 2 of my orchids I had to cut the flowers from a few days ago due to my sons asthma, these were the least pretty of them all but most prolific bloomers (my sister in law snagged these two, lol).

Here is a pic of a field of Sunflowers outside of town, it was beautiful to see so many fields full of so much yellow (they are all pretty much dead now though)! This picture was taken about a month ago.

Happy growing;
Victoria

Amazing pics! Congratulations on your first eustachya and eymae pitchers.

I really like your picture of the field of sunflowers, it is very beautiful. I didn't know that Kansas had hills, though.

So beautiful Victoria..if your son has any pet cat, dogs etc. don't let him touch them so often because the fur will make him more difficult to breath.

Nice scenery btw!

Nice healthy Neps you've got there. I like your Marble Dragon. The peristome is beautiful

Hi

Wow nice plants especially the N marbled dragon...its maxima x truncata rite lazy check info about it.

I have no idea why but when sunflowers are at they're full bloom the look so jolly and happy and also makes me fell happy when looking at it.But when they start wilting and browning they look very DEPRESSING.

Ken

Marigold, ya, we have hills and even a few cliffs, LOL! Actually, Kansas is much more beautiful than anyone gives it credit for, we have tons of wild flowers as well.

Glad everyone liked the sunflowers! Thanks for all the kind comments everyone!

Thanks for the tip Aliamyz, he has a Siberian Husky for a pet and on days that my sons asthma acts up I take over his chores for him. We are trying several different natural remedies (such as mullein and ACV) and so far they are working good.

Ken, right you are, I think it is maxima dark x truncata. I agree, the sunflowers are beautiful when open but very very sad looking when dying! I should have gotten a pic of the milo to, it makes a nice contrast of redish brown with the yellow sunflowers.

Happy growing!

Nice neps Victoria, may I ask where your N. eustachya came from? MT or EP? Thanks.

Hi Victoria. Very nice and healthy neps. Congrats on the new pitchers. This means you are sucessful in growing them.

I love the scenery with all those sunflowers. It is almost unreal with so MUCH(Cause it's uncountable) sunflowers.

Cpnut, I honestly dont have a clue where the eustachya originated from....I got it from a private grower that has been growing Neps for well over 20 years.

Plantlover, it is definitely unreal when they are all in bloom.....if I would have known everyone was going to like them so much I would have taken more pics. This year the farmers got a really good price for Sunflowers so about 1/2 the fields were planted in them....usually just a few farmers plant them so it was really nice to see so many this year!
