Put it in a water tray with plenty of water. The water can take some of the heat hence keeping the pot cool.

Robert, sorry to hijack thread.

CPnut,

Would appreciate info on what is the medium the Burmanii and Theorelii are living in? Sandy clay?, peat? etc. etc.

It would be nice if when members see CP insitu, that they also hopefully give info on the type of soil or medium the plant is living on, so that we can learn what type of potting mix to use on them
To clarify cpnut I am stating this in General and not directly at you. Though you guys agree right?

Oh, great photos and congratulations on finding them in the wild, man I have yet to see my first wild CP

Hi Arvin,
Thanks. I totally agree with your view, it's still the best to learn from mother nature. That's why I've attached pics showing exposed soil in the natural habitat, just check my wild nep thread and you'll see it.

Regarding the soil where the D. burmanii were found, it consist of very fine powderly sand with traces of organic matter (peat like sustance, dried leaves and twigs.) The surface of the sand may look quite dry because of the dry spell, but 1-2 cm under the surface is still moist. Hope this help.

Thanks cpnut, yup saw your other post and you did mention there the sandy soil too. That is as we agree great info to know, for our cultivation. My Burmanii always have their roots wet, so I should really make the water tray dry out a bit some days. Also should add a bit of sand too.

Thanks again.

Marvin, it is kind of impossible to find any Drosera in developed area. There have been talks about looking for drosera in Langkawi by lisham in the old forum. I recon, on Peninsular Malaysia it is very hard to find any wild Drosera. You may have to goto Thailand or Sabah/Sarawak.
