Outdoor pests (first post)
Hello, I wasn't sure where to stick this. (First post here)
I bought 1 capensis, 2 VFly traps a Pitcher plant and a filiformis. a few sundews (spattulata) and a binata came along for the ride about 2 years ago. I stuck em in some peat moss and they are doing ok. They sit out on my balcony. Lately I've had two issues I can see. One type of VFTraps just keeps getting smaller and smaller leaves.... ? (Humidiy/Temp?) And then there is this catapillar. It builds a web that can withstand sundew even fly traps (they wiggle out). The even fall in the pitcher and eat out the bottom. (Daniel Rudd cultivar sarecrnia btw sorry). I've been picking them off with tweezers, but the stick the leaves together etc and it's becoming a pain. I gather pesticide is out of the q so what would anyone suggest? Thanks in Advance. Oh and forgive me if this is in the wrong place Take care, Josh btw thanks for having me too. great that a small hobby can overcome the tyranny of distance. p.s. last count about 10 capensis; 30 spattulata dros., 3 binata, 3 filiformis, 6 VF, 10 sarracena. |
