Looks a little too compact and soggy. Might not be good for the plant in the long-run. You should pot it in an airier mix. Something like fir bark, charcoal, perlite, and a maybe a pinch of peat depending on how much you're going to water. I too bought the same mikii from cooks, and while he shipped a nice healthy plant, the growing medium was the same as yours and much too compact for this plant. I washed it all off and used my normal Nepenthes mix...you should do the same. I'm surprised that as long as he has been in the cp business he still ships plants potted this way. Try to get pumice, shredded fir or cedar bark, charcoal, and perlite as your main mix. (pi « Reply #10 on Mar 21, 2008, 4:49am » Laxgoal, For now, since you only have the one plant and are in kind of a pinch, go to Lowe's and pick this up: http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=pr....5000&lpage=none Just pot the nep solely in this mix (maybe a touch of peat if you really want). That bag has everything you need in the proper ratios, and you can't beat it for $4. It sounded like exactly what was recommended.
