My aren't that big or colored. I like this plant but it is a VERY slow grower for me

Mine had a very rough winter a year ago, but is finally starting to come out of it. It still doesn't look as good as before. I remember having a prejudice against alata (probably due to ventrata being called alata). Now I grow 6 different clones (not counting 2 different copelandii) and I love them all. There really is a lot of variety in this species.
