Yet another problem...
Hi all need some opinion here. Got this N. spectabilis from group purchase and is not doing well. Currently place under 50% shade with around 10am-3pm sunlight. As pic show, leaves are quite wrinkled and a bit pale. Is this due to too much sunlight + low humidity? Is N. spectabilis a more shady plant?

Re: Yet another problem...
I think the plant is still settling in. Did you just water the plant? The media looks quite wet. Usually, when I receive bare rooted plants, I control the watering and let the top layer of the media dry out (but not the whole media) so that the roots can establish firmly and more quickly. It looks quite fine though.

Re: Yet another problem...
New plant usually takes a while to settle in. A sibuyanensis from last year gp took 2.5 months before resuming its active growth. I think it is still early for this round's plants, being barely 2 weeks.
Your plant looks ok to me. Probably can increase shading. Mine is at roughly 70%.

Re: Yet another problem...
Noted. About watering i just did it before taking pitcher and lately hot weather causes the top layer to dry out frequently so usually i moist the top layer everyday if so and also spray few times a day to increase humidity. I'll try to add more shade if can cause out of usable materials for shading

Re: Yet another problem...
I think that the hot weather is making the humidity drop. Don't worry too much. Like tzestan said, more shade can help.
Kepikimut, what does IMHO mean?

Re: Yet another problem...
Maybe is the root cause most plant from group purchase have very short root. The media I've been using for other cp plants and they are doing well. So maybe is the root....
