Big leaves but no pitcher
« Thread Started on Jun 18, 2007, 12:15pm » Got a questions guys, my amp seems to be growing well, it is growing nice healthy and big leaves but it's not pitchering. The older leaves are not as big but they have pitchers at the end. Anyone knows what I should do?

« Reply #1 on Jun 18, 2007, 12:24pm » Does the new large leaves feels softer and in a lighter green? Does it look a little floppy? Usually two main factors influence pitcher development, ie. sunlight and humidity. Sunlight must be enough and humidity must be high. If you can also give them premium media and clean water, they will grow better for you.

Sometiems it's just the change in environment. They'll sulk a little while and will grow pitchers later on. The trick is not to move them around trying to find the best spot for them. Once you've decided where you want to place them, leave them there and don't move them again. They need some time to acclimatize to the new place in your home. If you keep moving them, they keep having to adjust to the changes in light levels etc.
