Passing of an Era
I have the saddest duty to report that Fred Howell pass away a couple of days ago.
Fred Howell was a the founding members of the Australian Carnivorous Plant Society back in 1979 when bunch of fellow growers of CP got together. He one of pioneer of growing of pygmy and tuberous sundews. He had over 50 years experience in growing carnivorous plants. His humour, widsom and passion for horticulture will sorely missed by his relatives, friends and fellow members. |

I truely hope the CP community in Australia will not be dampen in their spirits and will continue to promote these marvalous plants and encourage the study of them. Let his work and efford not be wasted but instead let it be an encouragement for all CP growers in Australia.
