I think mirabilis from photo posted here. Took some photos will post in ID section later. Wondering when I should go back to harvest the seeds. When it becomes brown or can I take it green? « Last Edit: Sept 24, 2007, 2:00pm by bactrus »Link to Post - Back to Top 218.111.9.66BA rainforestguy Senior Member member is offline Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 386 Re: Nepenthes Seed Pods « Reply #1 on Oct 6, 2007, 12:08am » Do not take it too green. If you see some lower pods already brown and split, some of the semi brown unopened pods should be ripe. It is best to let the pods split naturally for best seed germination. These would be great starters for testing your seed germination and seedling transplanting abilities. And while many feel its just a mirabilis, it is a mirabilis of seed origin and that alone is worth ten times over a single tc clone!
