Here's some more:
Nepenthes ventricosa-red x (ventricosa-red x talengensis)

I love the squat shape of this!



While not a hybrid, this is used to make so many hybrids.

N. thorelii 'd'
I would have thought this to be a weed due to the vigor of its hybrids, but it has been surprisingly difficult for me. It's in a heated, sunny spot, and it has just crept along and even makes spikes that die before they open. Does anyone else have one? I'd like to hear how it does for you and the conditions you grow it in.

Hi Ludwig:

I wanted to ask you how does it perform during the months of May-August. Usually, it loves warmth to do best, even though, i have not grown this particular clone, other so called thorelli do go dormant during Aussie winters, but they bounce back during summer.

Even though it is heated, sometimes i think it got cold in there on real cold nights. It has a strong basal forming so I am hoping this will take over and do better this year. Yes, I did only receive the plant at the end of our summer last year.

Here are some hybrids for the future.


The mother is a warm grower, the father a rather highland plant that wouldn't survive in my area. Let's see how this matures.

Wow Michael, I can't believe you actually have that hybrid growing so well for you!

Here's a couple of lowlander hybrids that are growing well in intermediate/highland conditions.

This is the plant that is growing outdoors and we've had some real harsh weather: lots of wind, rain, and intermittent sunshine. It has really seemed to enjoy this.
