its ok to put the ice ON the media itself and let the ice melt by itself. Darlingtonias come from mountain areas where the water is always flowing and very cool. Water tray is not neccessarily needed, it is the constant watering of cool water that is important, marvin.

Have you got one cobra already?

Cheers

My cobras have roots but no leaves. Anyone know how long for it to start producing true leaves?? I'm scared they will die because when I touched the soil today it was very hot. I immediately put ice on top, under, beside and around the seedbox.

Yes, that is right, it is vital to keep the roots as cool as possible. I hope it will survive.......

Aaron, cobras grow slowly from seeds. I think it will take about 6 months to grow pitchers up to 5cm tall. Thats why I was wondering whether ifurita had stolons on his darlingtonia.....

Cheers

So slow. They germinate fast but grow so slow. I'm waiting for a darlingtonia sale by members(most likely Ifurita or Jonathan). I wonder when ischan will get TC darlingtonia. I want to buy them so I have more unusual plants for my collection.
