Beautiful form of spat. Is it a local form?

Re: D. spatulata flowering
Mine came from Athena and the only ID is "Pink-flowered"! Here's a shot;
and a recent flower stalk, now bagged; Mine has not been in a full-sun spot so hasn't got the reds like Arvin's. Will try to move it out to fuller sun for a while. Khoas, if it looks the same to you, I should have a few seed to spare in a week or so. PM me. Shawn |

Re: D. spatulata flowering
I am not sure where it came from, I got it from a fellow CPer here who was going to migrate to Australia (forgot which part). I am under the impression that it is not the local variety because although he is a mountaineer and loves checking out CPs in the wild, he never mentioned that it was collected locally (they are not Cites anyway right?) So he might have gotten it from somewhere else. I just call it "from Pinoycp" in my database.
These guys are prolific with me though, I mean way way more than the capensis that I got. I sometimes feel bad and want to cut off the flower stalks to give them time off, but heck they just want to flower and flower. Too bad that the flowers only blossom one or two at a time, if they flowered in bigger batches that would be way more beautiful, but then again I am sure they have their reasons. TTFN Arvin
