Default Sarracenia seedling didn’t grow bigger.

I have a set of S. alata from former long time ago. It is almost half year since it germinated and it still just 1cm tall. May I know what wrong with it? I keep it outdoor side by side with my adult sarracenia, drosera and VFT.

The seedling pitcher is too tiny and I unable to feed them.

Is there any special handling step I missed?

thanx...

Sarracenia can take 5 years to mature, sometime longer. They only double their size per year without fertilzer.

It is worth the effort growing sarra from seeds, you get better understanding of the genus and can get odd sport which is worthly of been a cultiver.
I have grown most of my sarra from seeds.

Hi Casey...

My sarra seeding takes about 2 years to reach 4' inch tall... it takes them some time to grow for us like child... you dont expect a baby to turn teenage within half a year do you hahaha...

Give them some time and yes reporting them seems to help... good luck and happy growing bro.

Regards
Jonathan
