I'm guessing this is a HL form or maybe a "greenhouse bred" clone from EP?

Thanks for the whole plant pic. It's doing well and that would suggest the roots are massive and healthy. To repot it's best not to disturb the roots and repotted with all the original media.

I like playing fairy-godmother to neglected plants. During my last trip to Cameron Highland back in early august, I 'saved' a good-sized N. truncata for next to nothing. The plant was covered in dust, no pitcher - just the shape of the leaves gives away it's variety. Took it home, gave it a good bath & brushing using sable hair's - it was almost decent looking
After a couple of months, it produced a miniscule pitcher, barely 2" long. The next leaf looks more promising, the pitcher doubling in size weekly. As we were leaving for the long Eid weekend, I noticed that the pitcher was about 4" + the lid has not open yet, there's still hope there ![]() When I got back yesterday morning, the lid is just opening, I was too sleepy to measure the size properly, so I just used my palm to eyeball it. Much later, after 2 loads of laundry, I measure my palm. Surprised, thinking that I must have measured a leaf or something else during the early morning ![]() Not bad for a charity case huh! |

Here's a photo of the N. truncata, eventhough the peristome is still not well-formed, I see a lot of potential
![]() those are the two pitchers I spoke about before. |
