That's a nice max x tm. Is that your only clone? My biggest one isn't quite producing pitchers as big as yours yet, but it looks very similar at this point. I'm wondering if the mouth will be elongated as uppers are produced.

No Joel, I have (I think) 4 of these plants, 1 just arrived in this year's ep order. I do see some difference in them, particularly the amount of green in the lowers. Another plant I have has just a little more greenish-red lowers.

I do like that high peristome that attaches itself to the lid. Very raff-like when they do this. I have a max x TM making uppers and it is interesting how the TM's appear in these. Very unlike the thorelii x TM and sibuyanensis x TM hybrids!

Hi Michael, I'm not sure if you saw this; this is a thorelii x TM upper. I was happy to see a trace of TM in the teeth. What do you think?

Nice teeth for this hybrid!

Here is a wild N. maxima x TM growing among dendrobium orchids. Nothing like your dark ****es. This is an upper.


The redder coloration is due to me having a warmer temperature. same cross, different growing conditions.

very nice! I never thought there'd be such a difference with different temp ranges like this.

This was a freak pitcher, probably due to a change in climate, as the plant produced redder pitchers after this one:

I feel as this hybrid ages, we will see more TM characteristics become more apparent. meanwhile this strongly takes after N. maxima.
