Default problem

hey guys ive been trying to grow VFTs for years (i get mine from cactus valley) but it always ends up dead.

i never knew that VFTs need full sunlight. i put mine in perhaps 50/50 sunlight ratio and water it everyday but it ended up dead. (the leafs fail to produce new traps)

can anyone explain to me why this happens?

thanks
