Re: A spirally variegated Agave
cool looking cultivar.
I think I have a similar if not the exact same one. Still a seedling though and the leaves are a bit strtched out because it was kept in a pretty shady spot. Do you keep yours in full sun? I am worried that the variegated parts might burn or blister in full sun. |

Re: A spirally variegated Agave
Yes, it is the same. Full sun is ok, part shade gives better color. Another close relatives which is equally attractive is the Agave Joe Hoak. I think the recent flower show in Phillipines has this agave.

Re: A spirally variegated Agave
I have this other variant of Agave Desmentiana that has golden edges an the silvery form of variegation for the rest of the leaves.
I haven't really seen this one around and the vendor didn't have a name for it. I just call it "Silver and Gold" for obvious reasons. With other plants for scale |

Re: A spirally variegated Agave
It's another type of agave but the name escapes me. I was able to get a couple more of these plants with a lot of pups --about 20 in all.
I want to group them all together when they have all rooted out. cool right?? |

Re: A spirally variegated Agave
If I am not mistaken those two are "Blue agave", I have Blue agave in my collection and they look like those two, though the two in the picture looks way better than mine.
