The pitchers possessed wing ribs. lower pitchers are usually red but as the plant matured the uppers are more greenish with occassional light red blotches. N.reinwardtiana (highland) the natural hybrid : ferrugineomarginata ( reinwardtiana x albormarginata ) The peristome is beautiful -lipstick red. The leaves look more like albormarginata but the winged ribs a replicate of the mother plant-reinwardtiana Link to Post - Back to Top 124.82.25.102 David Administrator member is online Joined: Dec 2006 Gender: Male Posts: 2,326 Location: Kuala Lumpur Re: N.reinwardtiana and its hybrid « Reply #1 on May 18, 2007, 9:30am » Robert, nice photography. Thanks man, what a nice way to start my day... staring at beautiful pictures of Nepenthes. The lowland reinwardthiana is your own plant? The shape is similar to alata huh? Nice! I like it. easy to grow? Hey... wait a minute!!! There's a red ampullaria at the background of the first picture. Heh, heh, I always get all excited when I see red ampullarias. Hey, the highland reinwardthiana in the picture has only one "eye" spot. Yup..those are the easy to grow lowland red reinward., home grown and behind are the red amp. The highland form has tubby bottom and this one has squinted eye spot-one big and one small, strange.
