Default LJ_Tan - Nepenthes

My 1st Nepenthes was Nepenthes ampullaria on May 2009 but I stop it after the 1st Nepenthes because of to some reason.

After I jointed this forum, I started again for Nepenthes because of N. viking

I learn a lot after visit to NepNut house and I will modify my garden for Nepenthes

I hope can learn more for Nepenthes.

wauh!!! a lots of viking!!!!

For N. mirabilis var globosa, you need to hide those pitcher from sunlight in order to get reddish color. It is difference from others nepenthes...

Yes ... N. mirabilis var. globosa is now their official name after being described by the scientists. N. viking was sort of nickname before official description.

FYI, I also found out N. northiana pitchers behave the same way as globosa. If the developing pitchers are sheltered from light, the pitcher will become a nice reddish coloration as well.
