Default Be weary when buying plants from strangers

Just want to bring everyone's attention to this following Shawn's thread on ebay sellers that we need to watch out for. It is important for everyone both here at PP or in other forums to be weary when trading or buying plants/seeds from people you do not know.

There are crooks out there and a few members have already had experiences like these here on PP where the plants never arrived or the buyer never paid money.

We should also watch out as the plants you are about to buy from a stranger may be stolen. I am sure alot of you are aware of the case where Sunbelle's nursery and Tony's nursery had been burgalarised last year. After which the plants showed up on ebay. You can read more about this on pitcher-plants.com here.

The plants have not been recovered until now. These were some very rare Nepenthes from Michelle and Trent, and Tony. The culprit is still at large and has been reported to have tried to sell the plants. If this person stole the plants, he will most probably rip you off when you try to buy from him.

Only trade in the Trading Board or make sure you know the person or the majority of good standing members here knows the seller before buying. Do report any PM that you find suspecious by clicking on the "Report Private Message" icon on the top right... The icon looks like this
