An Introduction
Dear members,
This whole new category entitled "Carnivorous Plant Competition" is set up for an ongoing plant competition that I hope to carry out twice every year, ie. once every 6 months. This competition is organised for the purpose of promoting the cultivation of our beloved plants and encouraging members to grow their plants better. I also realised that many members were unable to join the yearly CP Competition in Penang due to the distance and duration of the competition. This competition is not a replacement of the CP Competition in Penang. Members like picesilim, bactrus, monkeycup, etc has done a great job organising the event in the past 2 years. I think it is important that we continue to support the CP Competition in Penang each year. It's great to physically meet up during the competition. But if you are unable to join the CP Competition in Penang, you can now join this competition on the forum. The forum competition can also be a place to prepare your plants for the yearly Penang CP Competition. This idea was shared to me by Andy Tan aka atmccmn of Tropical Selections. Great idea Andy! This competition is open to all members of PetPitcher including forum Moderators, Executive Members and Advisors. The forum leaders have put in a lot of effort helping out in the forum and in the background, unnoticed many times. So, this time around just chill and enjoy the fun winning some prizes. To make this competition work I would need the support of our dear sponsors for the prizes to make it more exciting and appealing. All sponsors will be mentioned and archived in the "Hall of Fame" section. So, calling all suppliers, nurseries and members... contact me if you would like to be a sponsor. You can sponsor anything related to plants. It can be CPs, Non CPs, plant accesories, potting media, terrariums, fertilisers, books, etc, etc... So members! Start pampering your plants and get them ready... Look out for my announcement on this up and coming competition.
