Default N.villosa at Mt Kinabalu

Went to climb Mt Kinabalu last month and managed to see lots of N.villosa along the trail.. too bad didnt see any rajah or lowii
I started to see them when I reach Layang-Layang Hut (2700m) and all the way till Waras Hut (3200m).

This are nepenthes seen below 2700m.

Thank you for viewing.

N. villosa is absolutely stunning! I really like how long the tendrils are on it, it makes it look so elegant! I never tire of seeing Neps in the wild, hope to be able to see them in person some day.
Thanks for sharing the pics!

I agree! Great to see these pictures. Those loooong tendrils make me wonder what a cross between N. villosa x viking would come out like? A big winged viking with teeth would be amazing!

Good to see you made to the base camp, Boon Leng. Mt Kinabalu trail was dotted with many wild exotic plants that distract trekkers attention. The villosas were the reward. you reached the summit the next morning?

Managed to reach the summit the next day.. really hard work
I'm using the Mesilau trail, so able to see lots of plants like orchids and pitcher. All the pictures are taken on the Mesilau trail, Timpohon trail hv less villosa, not as many like the 1st picture.
