Default parasite?

Hi nep master, 1 of my viking x kuchingensis have patches as below. May I know it is parasite? When I press the black dot with nail, it seems like there is juicy thing come out from it. How to recover the plant from that?

Thanks you for any advice.

While waiting for masters to response...

I thought those are nectar glands. My viking produces a few of those occassionally (viking trait??). Not that many though. Most of the juice droplets are colourless, some brown.

I guess they appear on new leaves. Could it be that your plant try to attract insects because nutrient starved?

Hello! Those are just nectar glands, nothing to be afraid of. That's a quite common feature in N. mirabilis, and so it is in the var. globosa. It's part of the strategy to attract insects.

well, maybe a close up picture would help, but anyway, check this: look very close at those little points, and if you notice that on some of them there's some nectar coming out, it means they are nectar glands (all my globosa have those, if you want a sample picture). Any experienced nepenthes grower will confirm this, it's so common...
