Default how to split ?????

hi ya'll, the little ceph seems to be happy, over transplant shock and growing again. there is a second little growth point, appears to be attached to a leaf that had been severed, but there is a brown thin part holding it to the main plant, seems to dive into the roots. anyone know if this is attached to a root structure? do i just tease this out and pot it up????
