Talking Re: What Hybrid you wish to be in the market

hahah.. Ya! Well, I just prepare for my Nep project on create hybrid.
because............... Soon I will have a female nep from Neofarm.

So I just getting ready.

What I need to create is N. Hamata hybrid with N. Gracilis which I STRONGLY believe it will have its potential when it grow upper or interesting to see it in lower too.

Check out N. x Predator. At first, N. Truncata has no much teeth in it peristome. But as time goes by, we can see from those members who own N. x Predator, which pitcher grows bigger, the teeth seems more and more err... what is the words to use... never mind you get my point.

Even though we may not able to get peristome like N. Hamata, but slight 'teeth'ly already poisoned us a lot.

If you look at N. Gacilis Upper pitcher is almost like N. Hamata without teeth (upper pitcher). But too bad, no much people take attention to N. Gracilis. They just don't want to waste their precious pollen on boring Nep.

So..... basically I am doing my research here first. In CPUK, none of the members will want to discuss this topic.
I feel they only keep it to themselves or they dont pay any attention to small fly, since they can catch a rat.

All I need now, is N. Gracilis (Female) which I dont have any....
Anyone can help?

Find out how to get N. Hamata pollen.

I hope to get those, then I want to share it among ourselves then make it a Petpitcher/GCS Project.

Another thought, maybe not N. Hamata pollen only, maybe can try xTM pollen or N. Lowii with N. Gracilis, who knows what will it turn out to be??

I heard someone from cp in the tropics got hamata polen a few weeks back i saw a pick the flower was just emerging maybe u can find out and create a hybrid 0.0...
Just imagine N mirabilis enchinostma or something like that crosses with a hamata, then u have sharp teeth pointing out of the pitcher instead of a normal hamata which the peristrome points in(just a guess)

Talking Re: Hybrid Project

Hmmm N. Mirabilis seems interesting too.
Why I pick N. Gracilis because MALAYSIA HAS ALOT OF THEM!!!

Ken, at least you heard someone has N. Hamata pollen. But small fly like me, won't have any chance to hear this kind of news. I don't think they care....

how long can pollen remain fresh or how to collect nep pollen??

In fact, WE SHOULD MAKE ALL LOWLANDER NEP CROSS with N. HAMATA.

At least we, Asian, have a chance to grow hybrid of N. Hamata than dreaming of growing impossible N. Hamata species!!

Another view, a lot Highlander grower can't grow N. Bical well. But for N. Bical hybrid itself, it got alot of N. bical hybrid already!!

Why can't anyone help to make a hybrid which might have possiblitly??

Just have some teeth will do like N. xPredator, That will be nice. Grow under lowland.

Hi Jeff,

If your're just a small fry i guess im a fish fry lol.Im still on my way to getting a bical i saw a bical at HEE nursery in sg buloh its still a seedling but i can see the fangs on it already the nursery owner was selling it at RM150 for it is it already cheap or what???maybe the guy was already selling the bical at a chheap price 0.o.

Make more lowlander hybrids with any difficult highlanders like rajah, hamata, villosa, edwarsiana if i spelled it correctly. Then we can grow them in lowland conditions or even intermediate conditions.

Talking Hybrid Project

hahah Ken
Sound like interesting, but too bad It is just a dream and far to be made it true unless there are someone who has THOUSAND of neps of highlanders and lowlanders to make it come true like those so-call EXPERTS/COLLECTORS/GURUS in other forum.

But N. villosa & N. edwarsiana will be nice.

But will they care? Even if they were created, I doubt we will know it.
We will know it when they feel boring with those then they put it up on sale. Sell cutting which costs you like Bomb.
