Default Langwarrin Flora and Fauna Reserve

Adam took me for a walk but we somehow walked off the track. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Eagle eye Adam managed to spot this from the trail we were on, can you see what he saw in the picture below?

Yes, I saw nothing! Look closer:

Nested amongst the undergrowth is a Drosera pygmaea.

My first wild Drosera and it had to be one of the smallest.

Woah BA, you are so lucky to see the drosera in the wild, so far I still haven't had a chance to see any in the wild.
That was a nice one and looked so healthy, the earth looked dry. It could be due to dry season I suppose, the mosses around it are still very green.

We walk deeper into the reserve where we were suppose to find some Drosera binata. We strained out eyes for about half hour trying to look for a typical leaf but no avail. They somehow have disappeared due to whatever reasons.

Next we found 2 species of Utricularia. Please follow the link: Langwarrin Flora and Fauna Reserve Part 2
