Monthly Picture Competition

Dear members,

We have started a monthly picture competition on the forum for CPs and Non-Cps, each in it's respective categories.

This will be diffferent from the quarterly CP competition that has been going on where members can win prizes. The quarterly competition will be held twice a year now instead of quarterly, meaning once every 6 months. This would give members more time to groom their plants and would not be so taxing on our sponsors. Please also note that when the CP Competition is carried out, the monthly CP competition for that month will be cancelled. This does nto affect the Monthly Non. CP competition.

In between the CP Competition, we will slot in the monthly competition that will be called:

- Monthly Plant Competition
- Monthly CP Competition

The terms are different and more relaxed as compared to the quarterly competition currently. Some of the major changes:

- 3 entries allowed in each category
- Winners fully decided by members votes in poll
- Members post their own entries. Each picture in a new post
- If a category is not there, members may start the thread by posting the first entry
- No prizes but you get a list of "fullfilling" experiences listed in the "Prize" thread
- etc... etc... etc... check out the details...

Check out the terms and format... then hand in your entries. The November 2009 monthly competition entry for both CP and Non CP competition is now open!

One more change in Terms and Conditions No. 06. It was 6 months earlier. It has now been changed to 3 months...

"The plants must be kept for at least 3 months before submitting for the competition."

Just to let you guys/gals know again that you can start a new category in the monthly competition by posting a thread. All members are to post pictures by themselves and allowed to start a category on the competition.

At the moment there is only Nepenthes and Drosera category in the Monthly CP Comp. If you have pictures of Byblis or Ceph, etc, etc... by all means start the competition thread for your "babies". This applies to the Non CP Monthly Comp as well.

Also you guys will notice in the competition terms that it does not state that pictures must be taken within a certian period of time. This means you guys can post pictures of your plants a couple of years ago.

Hope this clears up any doubts and more members would participate.

Ok, December is here and the monthly Picture competition is on again. The board for CPs and Non CPs have been created. So start posting your pictures.

Just to inform members that the Forum Board for the January 2010 picture competition has been created in the respective CP and Non-CP forums. Members may post their entries. Will close entry submission this weekend.
