Default My indoor plants

Here's most of the rest of my collection so far. I forgot to get a photo of the d. natalensis seedlings. They're doing very well though!

Anyhow. Plants!

Nepenthes not-quite-sure. I think it's an alata, it's definitely something cheap and common, since I got it at a big hardware store, not a carnivorous nursery. It had three pitchers when I bought it but two of them immediately started turning black.

Nepenthes ventrata. The pitcher is coming along slowly, but it is still coming. I can't wait until it opens!

Drosera aliciae. This was a very sad plant for most of the last month, but it's finally perking up and making dew and new leaves.

Drosera capensis. It's probably silly of me to be so proud of how healthy this plant is, given how easy it is to grow. But I'm proud of it all the same, it's beautiful! It's easily twice the size it was when I got it.

Drosera spathulata. This one is weird. One of the three plants I got is thriving, the other two are half dead, no dew, not growing new anything, and have been that way since just after I got them. And yet they're in the same pot! Also there are two tiny seedlings which I think are also spathulata, though it's hard to be sure, in there with them.

And that's it! That and my outdoor plants are all I have properly planted right now, though I have two dionaea and two sarracenia getting ready to be planted outside, and some more dionaea and another nep coming in the mail next week.

Is that cat's hair on the drosera media? Haaa, haa... they get everywhere huh. By the way, what media are you using for your spatulata? I think all your drosera are not getting enough sunlight. They look a little green and very little dews. Try to give them more sunlight and see if it helps.

They're getting as much light as I can possibly give them, unfortunately. I don't have a sunnier spot than that. I should say that some of that is my bad photography, they do honestly have more dew than you can see in the photos, I'll try to take some better ones.

Most of them are on whatever they came in, I haven't wanted to repot unless it's necessary when I'm such a newbie to this myself and the person I got them from was an experienced grower. I'm not actually certain what his mix is, other than it sure seems to have a lot of peat in it.

And yes, that's cat hair. Well, or maybe it's fake fur fluff from my costume work, both are everywhere around here.

Congradulations. Your collection will quickly grow. That small nep is a ventrata. Neps change a lot in appearance when they mature.
