NOT! Shroom

Well, I've heard them called 'flowering plants' but that's probably not right but there's no fungi catagory! This was just too cool not to snap a few photos of. They seem to be fairly common here but this one was just perfect looking this morning;









and the demise, by this afternoon;

oh wonderful moment captured, Shawn. One of my favourite subject in my early year when i first took up photography. This Maiden Veil fungi or Stinkhorn Fungus ( dictyophore indusiata ) doesn't stay long and the smell like rotting meat. Do you dictate any smell ?

Wow thats some incredible fungus hahahaha..........sad to see it dead lol....(weird saying it to a fungi)......It reminds me of our respitaration system.Looks like our lungs and our throkea(watever its spelled)....

I think its trachea, Ken. I think the lower part looks like those kind of white thingy used to wrap fruits when you buy them.
