Direct sunlight for byblis seedlings...
I have two biblis sidlings and it's really really tiny. I have post the pic here https://forum.petpitcher.net/showthre...5045#post15045 Marvin1997 asked me to put it under direct sunlight to prevent fungus (thanks for the advice).... but I'm afraid it will be burnt under direct sunlight because it's pretty hot in the afternoon (in Malaysia).
I hope anyone (esspecially in any tropical country) that have any experience in handling biblis seedling can share it here. Thanks... |

Re: Direct sunlight for byblis seedlings...
Well...Always keep it ***p and if you want slowlly adapt it to direct sunlight...Something i use to not do a year + back and all my new neps drop all its pitchers before making new ones..Just slowly adapt it to those conditions..Maybe half an hour then after a coupple of days to an hour...As for fungus i've read that in irect sunlight the UV does kill the fungus (somewhere in the forum) And also don't keep it to wet..

Re: Direct sunlight for byblis seedlings...
Hi zul,
Byblis is a fast grower. For starter, you can give the plantlets full morning sun. Kept it back to bright indirect sun area in the afternoon. Make sure media is just moist and not soaking wet. After a week or two, the plantlets should be bigger and ready for full sun. Make sure you monitor the media moisture. In full sun water tray may dry up each day (but media still moist). You must never let the media dry up or too wet. Just moist to the touch. If you do cover your pot to increase humidity, do remove the cover. No air flow and high humidity can easily cause byblis plantlet to rot. |

Re: Direct sunlight for byblis seedlings...
Why does "the Savage Garden"says that Byblis Liniflora doesn't need to be soaked in bleach solution?

Direct sunlight for byblis seedlings
Can one grow buds with only a few hours of direct sunlight in the morning? It seems that shaded sunlight is still pretty bright compared to a grow light.
