I don't think its a thorelii x truncata...Why cos of the leaf shape..Does not show any signs of truncata in it..From what i normally see truncata has quiote a big influence on the leaves with hybrids of it..

Ken,
You are wrong.Have you seen EP's xPredator (truncata x hamata)? The plant has only truncata influence in the pitcher size.Other grow similar to hamata.

paphioboy,
Thanks. I picked this viking x kuchingensis becoz of it's peristome and pitcher shape ![]() A good excuse to get yourself another new nep ![]() Ali, Ya, I'm guessing about the same thing. Oh well, have to grow it a little longer to see it's more mature pitcher. Thanks. |

I saw in a Taiwanese forum recently about a member called a nep "hong teng long" (literally means red lantern in English) the name in English was N. xRebecca Soper, I tried google in the net, N. xRebecca Soper looked quite similar to what we have. Maybe you guys should also check on the web and see. If this is a xRebecca Soper, then it should be a N. gracillima x ventricosa. If Eric's source is from Taiwan, then it should be N. xrebecca soper. |

Hi TS,
Thanks for your input, will definately take a closer look. If it's really "red lantern", even better.... ![]() |

Hi TS,
After some googling, I found this site http://www.hantsflytrap.com/nmc045-x...soper-90-p.asp. This site refer N. xRebecca Soper as a cross between N.ramispina x N.ventricosa ![]() ![]() Nevermind, at least now I have some idea what this mystery nep might be.... ![]() Thanks again TS... ![]() |
