Default N. hirsuta

I got a N. hirsuta, and it is special, because it have hair at their stem. May I know what is the best media for them? Thanx...

Where did you get them? I remember see those in nurseries in Tropicana....everytime they get a new nep then they say it's a new species -.- Anyways good luck

I got my 1st N. hirsuta from a kind forumer. But, unlucky is rat taken it and keep it at their house. Now, I just got the others few weeks ago and im wonder what is the best growing media for them?

I still can't comment on what's the best media yet but I can tell you N. hirsuta usually takes a long time to acclimatise to new environment and they prefer shaded condition.

I grow my hirsuty in my standard mix of sphagnum, expanded clay (or perlite) and as bottom drainage pine bark. It does very well in this mix. It gets strong shaded of several other plants and seems to have no problem with it.

i've kept it in coco fiber strands as base and sphagnum moss as media, 50% shadecloth, water as needed...it is pitchering for me now......

this was under my care, quite surprised though as it takes short time to develop new pitcher. will take the whole plant pic once i'm home.....
