Default Anthurium/heart shaped flower

Hi everyone

I always see this plant in home centres and i want to get it someday but i'm afraid i will kill it like how i killed my rose last time Any special or specific care? The common ones i see are those with solid red colours..If you have one please post a picture here

They are easy. Piece of cake for me. It survived until I shifted houses.

I don't have anthuriums but what I know is they need a very well drained, moisture retaining medium bcos they're naturally epiphytes. I used to have success with roses but not planting any more bcos too much work. Roses also need very good, well draining soil, but full sun and regular fertiliser.

Paphioboy, you tried roses before? I was planting roses too, and african violets, until I had to go outstation for work at one time and I just gave the whole lot up as they are quite a handful to maintain. Then I switched to tropical evergreens and everything seemed to pick up well after that.

Anthuriums are nice plants but I prefer the large leaved types like Anthurium crystallinum I have one in my garden they are pretty easy to grow and they have big beautiful patterned leaves.
