They are doing it to try and put the kibosh on ppl stealing from the wild and from plants spreading outside there natural habitat/island or what ever, since they are endangered. Thats too bad that it was only done to you guys...but like i said, its a step to put a stop to those who have no respect for nepenthes,CP’s in general. In all actuality it sounds like there still might be a chance for the casual collector(you) to slide under this wall;at least,i hope all goes good for you all, just keep on pluggin away and do what ya do best CP’s

As what I Can understand from Fauzi, let's just say the akta will be implemented but this akta is more focus on protected animals (fauna) rather than flora as even the internal departmental bodies still have no idea how to implement and enforce the akta on flora species. If you're doing import/export, than you definately need register with the department. So far nothing much on private collector regarding any permit.

I think it's better for Fauzi to explain it in more details.

would like to ask for some help regarding the akta, but out of the box, I need some information on parosphromenus and betta as I know quite a number of them is under the list of critically endangered or at least at the level of being threaten, is it ok for any of those hobbyist who are dealing with this akta thingy help to find out a bit more on these, thanks
