Difficulties in growing N. spectabilis warm
« Thread Started on Nov 26, 2007, 12:00pm » This species really appreciates a colder climate, yet these do fairly well warm providing that their humidity levels remain high, plants are freely wetted and drip-dried and kept in a well ventilated area.

Otherwise these usully do well for me.

I have heard and read many times that spectabilis will do alright in LL conditions. I know there are many forms of this species, which one is this one? Anyways, I was wondering if any one of the forms in particular can tolerate LL conditions better. I love this plant, good looking specimen you got there.

Later!

Hi

Nice spectabilis you've got yourself there...To me highladers like macfarlanei, sanguinaea, ramspina and spectabilis are quite hardy highlanders and will do okay in lowland conditions.Pitchers would not be as big as it supposed to be but it will still do quite well as long theres nothing extreme and humidity is high.
