Default Tribute to Burle-marxii

As we all know, he's the landscape designer for our famous KLCC. Many plants were christianed under his name and this beauty is one of it.
Orthopythum burle-marxii. A xeric brom.

Wow! Did not know broms can be so beautiful. I do not usually look at them but this has very unique colour and forum. Love the thorns. The flowers are so beautiful.

What a beautiful plant!! It's so similar to Dyckia, another relative. Might want to find this and grow it among my crypts!!

David, I always get scars after attending to it. That's why I keep so few of them. Alvin, there are a lot of beauties in Dyckia too. Again, spines is the major setback in them!
