Default Growing Neps indoors

Hi there! Just want to find out how many of you in Malaysia manage to grow nepenthes indoors under artificial lights, and if they really thrive under your conditions please share some tips with us. Preferbly i would liek to know from those who stay in an apartment in the city like Kuala Lumpur, where the conditions are hot, dry and lack of light indoors.

I have tried before in the past but it was never really successful in the long run. My neps would thrive for a while but their health will slowly deteoriate.

When i grow them under artificial lights, the lightings are never enough or i find it diffuclt to get the right lighting thet suits them. If i use metal halide, i burn them and turn my house into a suana and super nova... causing friction between me and the "minister of home affairs"!

Then I have some by the window of my apartment. however, they will thrive for only 6 months. When the sun shift for the other half of the year, they suffer!

is there hope and solution for enthusiasts like me living in an apartment.

Appreciate input from everyone...

if u use artificial light, T8 or T10 is not powerful enough, you may need T5HO to archieve that. i use T5HO 8hours a day controlled by timer. Recently there are LED based spotlight too which looks like Metal halide lamp and they save a lot of your $$ , a 70W LED lamp is almost equivalent to a 150w MH. I will post up more about this after i tested.
