Hi

Thats defitnitly not a truncata. Its like hong rui said a N x miranda produces pretty large pitchers easily reaching a feet or so.Since u are from msia no prob growing this guy in full sun or shaded. You'll never miss a truncata when u see 1 it has heart shaped leaves with green pitchers which can be really big when it matures.1 question whats the differences between N mixta and N miranda, after googling it they still look the same to me o.0

Agree, Not Truncata, Truncata has "heart shape" end of the leaves, if that helps. Nevertheless you have a nice plant there. I have Miranda, but it is still quite small. I keep it in very very good sun, I would say full sun, it is near my VFT.

Congratulations.

wow, nice plant you got there. It looks very similar to my N.mixta.Keep it sufficiently humid and it will reward you with more pitchers.

Hi! Hongui, Ken, Arvin, Jefflu, powersensor, alienfx…

Thanks for correct and indentify my Nep. When I bought this Nep, that Indonesia guy told me that it is N.Truncata. That’s why I feel very suspicion. Luckily u all correct me…Thanks a lot!

My dad hang this nep in the bright place, like that quite ok to it.

Arvin, u said that u keep ur Miranda in full sun? The leaf will become burnt?

Ken and Arvin, thanks for tell me how to identify the truncate….Hope next time dun identify wrongly again..paiseh….Hehe!!

You know what. Miranda is the MOST common nep which nurseries sell. Sometime Truncata is getting common too Due to TC.

As I was looking at it admiring Truncata and Miranda, The staff told me it is a VERY rare plant, not much people has it. I nearly laugh out loud.

Then he pointed to me, this one (Miranda) is very popular and a lot of people are looking for this species. And Worst is He said its name.

Guys do you know what he said?

He said this name "Venus Fly Trap"

OH MY GOD!!! I CANT STOP LAUGHING.

He still continue. You see People said this one came from Planet Venus and it eats flies.

LOL

Then I told him, no... This is named "Miranda" and that is "Truncata"

Then He was speechless.

Well, at least you met people who got the name wrong than getting the wrong info to sell. Hahaha
