I am quite certain that the pitcher trap will rot. The mouse is too big for that particular pitcher and may chew its way out of the pitcher. If not the pitcher will rot. It's just simply too big. Perhaps if the pitcher is larger.

As for the baby mouse in the VFT trap, the trap will not be able to digest the mouse as it cannot create an airtight condition to secrete digestive enzymes to digest the mouse. Most probably the trap will reopen in a couple of hours.

haha. coming to think of it, it will chew its way out. i guess rajah is the only pitcher that can handle the mouse that size...

Hi

If u try to search further in youtube the N truncata trap actually dries up after it digested the whole thingy i saw that video about few months to a year ago.Conclusion the pitcher suicide itself together with the mouse.SUCIDE BOMBER!!!!!
