what i have done for the vikings are, i put all the pots close to each other in a tray, and i let the pitchers sit in the gaps so that very minimum light will shine at the pitchers.

I have tried another method b4 and it works also, expose the whole plant to make the leaves red, by having the pitcher sitting in the pots, covered by its leaves, then i wil move them to shaded place. Then you wil get red leave + red pitcher.
