I'm totally addicted to plants, I swear. I went to the store today for chocolate syrup for my fiance and a zipper, and ended up coming home with a bromeliad!



As far as I can tell just from photos on the internet it's a vriesea carinata. Looks to be pretty easy to take care of, and it's definitely very pretty!

Plants are pure addiction, eh spark? You're not alone. Everytime I go out I always, at least nearly always come home with a plant! Even a tiny pot of fern is always satisfying Bromeliads are wonderful growers. You'll have pups popping out of the plant in no time!!
