Northiana better grown in a big or small pot?

Just wondering, is it better to grow a northiana in a small pot or a big and deep pot? Since it's natural habitat is limestone cliffs, I assume that it needs a wide surface area to grow naturally. My media will be consisting of charcoal, limestone, perlite and perhaps some coral stones. But is it better to grow northiana in a bigger pot? When I had a northiana before, I grew it in a pot around 8 inches in diameter and nearly 8 inches deep. My northiana grew beautifully, (although it died out of hot weather). Now I am getting one, so please give advices and opinion on the size of the pot, thanks.

The bigger the better as northiana doesn't like repotting.Try to make the mix drainer. Your mix looks fine to me.

Thanks for the advice, Ali. I don't plan to repot my northiana for a few years. Not going to add coral stones though. Just got the north from Fauzi today. Now I have to wait for the limestone......

I think it depending on your growing condition. For me since I grew all my neps outdoor exposing to rain, I will pot them in smaller pot so that when it's raining season, it'll not be too wet for too long.

N. northiana grew very slowy, so far I still have no problem with plants that out grew the pot. My 2 cents...

I'm growing it in a terrarium. Since there won't be any wind, I will be watering my north less frequently.
