Default Some new neps came today

Huzzah! Here's hoping I don't kill them and that they keep pitchering for me.

Nepenthes ventricosa, red variety. Not very red yet, in fact the only pitcher on it is dying off. Bah! Oh well, it was cheap, and it should recover fine, ventricosa is supposed to be an easy grower.

Not quite so easy, here's a nepenthes ampullaria.

And next to that you can see my very favorite, the bicalcarata! I figure I have about a 10% chance of it thriving, a 10% chance of it dying outright, and the other 80% is that it'll live but won't be really happy. I don't have ideal lowlander conditions, but I wanted to try anyhow. Wish me luck! At least it's very healthy and happy to start with.

Well, I ordered from two different companies, one order was two neps, the other one a nep, some sars, and some fly traps. So they came in two different boxes.

Make sure to keep those Lowlanders(Bicalcarata & Ampullaria) warm and humid. Otherwise they will be very unhappy.

*nods* I've read up on them. Warm shouldn't be a problem, I keep things warm for the snakes anyhow. Humid is a little more difficult, but I'm at least misting them frequently.

They look great! Keep up the good work. The bicalcarata is my favourite too! Your's seem to have more elongated pitchers than mine

Cheers

Your Ventricosa doesn't look like a ventricosa... at least to me it doesn't. The leaves are a bit broader than what i think a ventricosa should leaf should look like.
