Sarrs in Natural Habitat Pics!
« Thread Started on Dec 31, 2007, 1:52am » I had some free time today and decided to post some pics of Sarracenia in their natural habitat since most people on this forum might not have had the chance to see them in this setting. These pics are from our trip this year to Florida and Alabama. We go at least once a year to see them and see how things are changing.

Nice pictures. Thanks for sharing. I particularly like the S. Leuco and the whole area of mixed flavas. Really beautifull seeing them grow together on the field. Hey, the S. « Reply #4 on Dec 31, 2007, 9:32am » Most Psitts that I have seen are growing in wire grass and the sun is definitely shading them a good bit. A lot of the ones are growing so deep that they are totally green and the only way to find THEM is their flowers rising above the wire grass. « Reply #6 on Jan 3, 2008, 6:47am » The Ping is pretty big and the Psitt was medium sized. I saw Pinguicula Planifolia that were 6-8" across or bigger! I haven't seen Nepenthes in their natural habitat other than pics that people have posted. I would love to one day but don't know if I will get the chance.
