The Cephs are just coming back after a possible case of root mealies. Had larger pitchers but those suddenly turned yellow and limp. I need to keep an eye on them in case it is really the bugs. They were growing well in plastic pots and I transplanted them in April. The mound was created when I first potted them up. The moss is deliberately planted on the surface.

Nice way of potting your ceph Cindy. Kinda nice with the little hill with moss. A suggestion... How about planting some terrestrial Utricularia in there

Wow O.O really nice moss u have there and the time u took to make that mountain like shape.I wouldn't take more than 30 minutes potting my plants lol hahahaha doesn't mean i don't care about my plants like all of you do...i love them a lot of my friends find me and my cp's weird haizzz....Cindy i'll try to do that one day hahaha inspiration just came should have saw this earlier then i will do something with my raff pot.

David, I am not sure which terrestrial utric would work. 'Cos terrestrial ones are still grown rather wet like U. sandersonii. And the epiphytic ones are mostly cool growing?

Ken, actually it isn't time consuming at all. The moss is planted as a few specks (~2mm) of green on the mound and spreads over time. Cephs are potted this way to prevent rotting at the crown area as well as to encourage the plant to send out offshoots. In the wild, some of them grow on slopes. Very interesting.
